Winter trophies

Ted Brown and JW McStay

JW McStay Memorial Cup

A 1500m maiden handicap club race for male and female club members who must be 16 yrs or older on 31 December of that season and never won a 1st placing in a winter race. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Ted Brown Memorial Cup

A 1500m handicap club race for male and female club members who must be 16 yrs or older on 31 December of that season and have won a senior winter race. The winner will hold trophy for 1 year.

Colts Challenge Cup

An 800m handicap club race for male and female club members 15 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Walkers Cup

A 1500m handicap walking race shall be held for all male and female club members. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Vice Presidents 5K

Morris Cup

A 5km handicap club race for male and female club members who must be 16yrs or older as at 31 December of that season.

The course will be decided by the committee. The winner will hold the trophy for one year.

Henderson Cup

The male club member with the fastest time over 5km shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Womens Trustee Tray

The female club member with the fastest time over 5km shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Sidon Cup

A 1km handicap club race for male and female club members 15 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season.The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year

Walkers Cup

A 5km handicap walking race for all male and female club members. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Club Cross Country

Jubilee Trophy

An 8km race for senior male club members, 20-34yrs, as on 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Masters Club Champion

An 8km race for male club members 35+. Age as on the day of competition. No Trophy

Jim Haelis Cup

An open sealed handicap race for all male club members running the 8km distance to be held in conjunction with this race. Winning club member must be 20+ as on 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Championship winners are not eligible for sealed handicap.

Lucas Shield

A 2km race for male club members 15 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season. The winner to hold the trophy for one year.

Girls U16

A 2km race for female club members 15 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season. The winner to hold the title for one year.

Children U12

A 1km race for children, male and female club members 11 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season.

Social Cup

A 6km race for junior men 19 yrs and under club members, as at 31 December of that season. Winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Dodds Cup

An open sealed handicap shall be run in conjunction with this 6km distance. Social cup winner is not eligible for the sealed handicap.

Donna Young Memorial Cup

A 6km race for senior women club members, 20 – 34 yrs as at 31 December of that season. Winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Ron Cain Cup

A 6km race for Masters Women club members 35 + as on race day. Winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

An open sealed handicap race for all female club members running the 6km distance to be held in conjunction with this race. Winning club member must be 20+ as on 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the title for 1 year. There is no Trophy, just the honour

Championship winners are not eligible for sealed handicap.

Junior Women’s Cross Country Tray

A 4km race for women club members 19 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season. Winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Open Walk Cup

A 4km open walk scratch race for male and female club members. Winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

6km race for Masters 50-59 male club members, age as on the day

4km race for Masters 60+ male club members, age as on the day

4km race for Masters 50+ female club members, age as on the day

J G Barnes Cross Country

J M Brown Memorial Cup

The first club man 19 yrs and under to finish the J.G.Barnes Cross Country to hold the trophy for 1 year.

Edmond Cup

Pat Sidon Medal

1st club member in the Edmond Cup.

Brighton Green Island

Butterfield Trophy

A 10 km handicap club race for male and female club members 16 yrs and older as at 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Cuthbertson Cup

The male club member with the fastest time in the Brighton -Green Island race, shall hold the trophy for 1 year

Womens Trustees Tray

The woman club member with the fastest time in the Brighton -Green Island race, shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

McGlinchy Cup

A 4km handicap race for male and females club members, 15 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Ufton Challenge Cup

The club member, 15 yrs and under, male or female, with the fastest time in the 4km race shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Open children’s scratch race for male and female club members11 yrs and under as at 31 December of that season.

Walkers Cup

An open handicap walking race for male and female club members to be held in conjunction with the senior running race. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Craig Currie Memorial Cup

1st Masters 50+ Walker Brighton – Green Island. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year

50th Anniversary Cup

1ST club woman home, walker or runner in the Brighton – Green Island race. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Otago Road Championships

Coronation Cup

1st senior male club member 20 yrs + in the Otago Road Champs. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Road Race Trophy

1STsenior woman club member 20 yrs+ in the Otago Road Champs. The winner shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Port Chalmers – Dunedin Road Race

Stan Williams Memorial Cup

1st club member, male or female on handicap in the Port Road Race. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Hebbard Rose Bowl

The fastest club man in the Port Road race. The winner will hold the trophy for 1 year.

Port Road Race Trophy

The fastest club woman in the Port Road race. The winner shall hold the trophy for 1 year

Otago Marathon Champs

G L Austin Cup

The first club member male or female in the Otago Marathon Champs shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Otago Half Marathon Champs

Bruce Dellow Cup

The first masters club member in the Otago half marathon champs shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Clyde – Alexandra 10 km Road Race

Andrew Sime Memorial Cup

The first club member, male or female finishing the open 10km race shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

*An open sealed handicap title shall be held in conjunction with this race. The trophy winner is not eligible for the sealed handicap title.

Warren Tweedie Memorial Cup

The first club member, male or female, finishing the open race walk shall hold the trophy for 1 year

*An open sealed handicap shall be held in conjunction with this race. The trophy winner is not eligible for the sealed handicap title.

Winter Aggregate Points Trophies

Bartlett Shield

The male club member aged 20 years or older gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Festival Cup

The junior male club member aged 19 years or under gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Women’s Aggregate Tray

The female club member aged 20 years or older gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Junior Women’s Aggregate Tray

The junior female club member aged 19years or under gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Male Walkers Aggregate Cup

The male club member gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 walking events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

The Harrison Cup

The female club member gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 walking events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Colts Cup

The male club member aged 15 years or under gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Girl’s 15 and Under Trophy

The female club member aged 15 years or under gaining the lowest aggregate points by completing in all 3 events in the VP 5km, Brighton – Green Island and The Clyde-Alexandra road races shall hold the trophy for 1 year.

Cowie Cup

The club member aged 19 years or under who has made the greatest improvement through the winter season as decided by the selectors, shall hold the trophy for 1 year

Summer Trophies

Points for regular competition at Caledonian Ground. Does not include championship or special meetings, which have limited entry. Points are awarded on a 5,4,3,2,1 for 1st to 5th. Placings taken only against other Caversham people in same event. If you are the only Caversham entrant, you get maximum points. Rewards for participation as opposed to being penalized for entering popular events.

Beatson Cup

Senior or Junior scoring most points in sprint events up to 400m including hurdles, during the summer season

Leo Madigan Cup

Senior or Junior scoring most points in middle distance events, including steeplechase, during the summer season

Milton Cup

Senior or Junior scoring most points in field events during the summer season

Rae Deans Trophy

Senior Woman scoring the most Aggregate Points

L K Donovan Cup

Senior or Junior scoring most points in sprint events up to 400m including hurdles, during the summer season

L F Gerrie Cup

Senior or Junior scoring most points in middle distance events including steeplechase, during the summer season

Trustees Trophy

Senior or Junior scoring most points in field events during the summer season
